Bridget Marsh
In February of this year, LSTA lost one of its brightest lights. Executive Vice President and General Counsel Bridget Marsh was an extraordinary leader, colleague and friend to many across the industry, as well as the transformative force behind many of the market practices and standards we know today. In her 20 years at LSTA, she gave usher best to create a better, fairer market for all involved.
Bridget Marsh
She was a fellow of both the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation; served on the Practical Law Finance Advisory Board and the AAA-ICDR Financial Advisory Committee; and was a member of the ABA Business Law Section Council, chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Commercial Finance Committee, and co-chair of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) Financial Services Affinity Group. In 2025, she was honored by her peers for her outstanding contributions, winning both the ABA’s Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award and NAWL’s Outstanding Member Award.
But Bridget was so much more. A gifted educator, presenter and advocate, Bridget’s industry accomplishments were matched by her strength of mind and generosity of spirit. She served as mentor to many and was a deeply valued voice within and beyond the market she helped shape.
At her family’s request, donations in Bridget’s memory can be made to either Room to Read or World Wildlife Fund.
She will be greatly missed.
