Secondary Trading Monthly (May 2026)

According to the LSTA’s Ted Basta, "secondary loan trading rebounded in May, with volume rising 4% to $81.5 billion. Year-to-date volume remains 1% ahead of last year’s record pace, where the increase in trading activity over the past year-plus reflects more than market volatility and the sell-off in software-related loans. The continued migration toward electronic loan trading on Octaura’s platform has also become an important market development as e-trading volume has increased 128% on the platform over the LTM.”
