On November 27, 2023, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission issued a final rule that restricts securitization participants with respect to an asset-backed security (ABS) from engaging in conflicted transactions with respect to the ABS until the one-year anniversary of the first closing of the sale of the ABS.
