Since 2019, a committee appointed by the American Law Institute and the Uniform Law Commission, the sponsoring organizations of the Uniform Commercial Code, has been formulating amendments to the UCC to address emerging technological developments including those relating to digital assets and virtual currencies. This program will summarize the initial draft of the amendments as presented to the Uniform Law Commission at the Commission’s annual meeting in July of 2021. Presented by Steven L. Harris, Professor of Law, Chicago-Kent College of Law, Edwin E. Smith, Partner, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Steven O. Weise, Partner, Proskauer Rose LLP.
