LSTA University was launched in October 2019 and is dedicated to educating our members about the loan market.  LSTA University provides written materials, webinars, and conferences for our members and has its own page on our website where members can access key articles about the loan market and its activities.  The materials are divided into the following categories: core curriculum, advocacy & regulatory, data & analysis, legal & documentation,  operations, and a new section, Practical Law. 

The Core level is an introductory level and offers materials that will help loan market participants better understand loan market standards, market practices, and current loan market issues, and access foundational resources. This section enables all our members to build a strong baseline knowledge of the loan market industry.  Each of the other practice areas includes three levels loosely divided into basic or introductory, intermediate and advanced that are maintained by LSTA staff.

For the legal community, LSTA University is delighted to announce that we have been working jointly with Practical Law to provide our members with access to a selection of Practical Law’s loan market related resources. Practical Law will be providing LSTA University with a selection of their key know-how, including their Practice Notes, Expert Q&As, and Trends Articles on a rotating basis each quarter. This new benefit represents an exciting new LSTA member offering and is available to all LSTA members at no additional cost.
