Bankruptcy Reform Working Group
To ensure that this perspective is adequately heard throughout the ABI Commission’s processes, the LSTA formed a Working Group that will closely follow the workings of the ABI Commission. The LSTA Working Group, chaired by its General Counsel, Elliot Ganz, intends to offer its perspective to the ABI Commission through the testimony of witnesses and in writing. To the extent the ABI Commission issues a report that fails to take adequate account of its concerns, the LSTA Working Group will be prepared to respond in writing, so that Congress is fully informed of the relevant issues before it undertakes to “reform” the Bankruptcy Code. This committee is open to LSTA Members.
The CLO Committee was formed to share information and best practices among CLO managers, structurers and lawyers. In recent years, it has focused on regulatory issues including risk retention, FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act), the Volcker Rule and issues arising from the SEC. The committee prepares analysis and white papers to support the CLO community’s efforts with regulators, lawmakers and rating agencies. The Committee’s membership is open to CLO managers, structurers, researchers and lawyers.
The purpose of the Litigation Committee is to review and approve amicus litigation proposals.
The mission of the Regulatory Committee is to develop and supervise the LSTA’s strategy for interfacing with regulators and other government entities. This Committee is open to LSTA members by invitation only.
